Getting Started

Install & Setup

Download AI StatusBar from the App Store or join the beta via TestFlight. Add your API keys in Settings for each provider. The app works entirely on-device with optional backend sync.

Core Features

Track token usage and subscription usage in real time, view Health status of AI services, and get News updates including changelogs and posts from X with push notifications.

Troubleshooting

Data not updating or showing old values

Pull to refresh in the app, check your internet connection, or verify the API key permissions. Background refresh requires iOS background app refresh enabled in Settings > General > Background App Refresh.

Health status not updating

Health status is fetched from official provider status pages and relevant X posts. Make sure you have the latest app version. Notifications for service issues can be enabled per provider in Settings > Alerts.

News feed or X notifications not working

News includes official changelogs and curated posts from X. Enable notifications for News in Settings > Alerts. If posts are missing, check that the provider is added with valid credentials.

Push alerts not received

Ensure notifications are enabled for AI StatusBar in iOS Settings. The app uses background refresh; low power mode or restrictions can delay alerts. Test with a low threshold.

API key or credential problems

Double-check the key has the necessary permissions (usage read). Keys are stored securely on your device. For team keys, use admin or gateway tokens as appropriate.

Gemini or Document AI data missing / quota surprises

Make sure the Google Cloud project has the Gemini API / Document AI API enabled and the service account or API key has the right IAM roles (e.g. Vertex AI User or Document AI Editor). Large context jobs and custom processors can consume quota faster than expected — use the per-model breakdown in AI StatusBar.

Google AI health status or X news not appearing for Gemini

Health and News for Gemini / Vertex / Document AI rely on official Google status pages + relevant X posts. Ensure the provider is added and you have enabled News + Health notifications in Settings > Alerts. Pull-to-refresh or update the app if feeds stay empty.
